@obl:
2015 events were awesome! I especially liked being in the March on State Street, and the singing was so inspiring to me. The speaker int the program at the Arlington Theater was dynamic!!

Would like to join in the the activities of the MLKJr Committee SB. The concerns I have are more related to what brought us to this current situation. The unfettered blood lust of the European nations finally released from their geographically difficult conditions by the Spanish windfall when Spanish discovered a mountain of solid silver in what was then Peru (now Bolivia: where there is no more silver or gold and paper has to be imported and printed in Canada for the paper currency of Bolivia.)
The British were among the earliest to emulate the Spanish, first by supplying the Spanish slaves from Africa to replace the Indian slaves worked to death digging out that solid mountain of silver, known as Cerro Blanco and then melted into wedges at Potosi at the bottom of the mountain. The British then raided Spanish ships and settlements looking for gold even as far north as Canada where they only found beaver pelts.
The merchant class in Europe then discovered that clearing the indigenous population in the Americas...they had an empty template to conduct capitalism un-fettered by European Common laws which recognised and allowed access lands that were common to people of the realm.
This is the state of things 500 years later. The rights of common peoples of the land are still not recognised and capitalism has run rough shod over over the people in establishing industrialism here and around the world.

Will continue this at later date.
